Years ago, my prayers were simple.
I would pray for guidance, protection, and the well-being of the people I love. I attended Mass regularly, listened to homilies, and often left feeling blessed. Yet like many of us, I would eventually return to the noise, distractions, and complexities of everyday life.
Over time, I began noticing recurring patterns in my life—moments that challenged my assumptions, tested my resilience, and pushed me beyond my comfort zone. Some would call them signs; others might simply call them moments of heightened awareness. Whatever the label, they prompted me to ask deeper questions about purpose, faith, and service.
The journey that followed was not easy.
There were seasons of uncertainty, periods of profound introspection, and moments when I felt I had very little left to give. In many ways, it resembled what spiritual traditions often describe as a "Dark Night of the Soul"—a process of confronting one's fears, limitations, and deepest truths.
What carried me through was not certainty, but faith.
Through prayer, fasting, reflection, and silence, I discovered that true spiritual growth is less about finding all the answers and more about becoming receptive to wisdom. The more I listened, the more I experienced clarity, peace, and direction.
This experience also transformed how I view purpose-driven work.
Perhaps this is why I remain deeply committed to building Kasama Journeys—not simply as a travel initiative, but as a platform for meaningful human connection, cultural understanding, personal growth, and shared experiences that encourage reflection.
One lesson stands out above all:
In the midst of life's uncertainties, we often spend so much energy searching outward that we forget to cultivate the inner awareness needed to recognize what truly matters.
Whether through faith, service, leadership, community, or personal reflection, I believe we are all invited to grow into greater alignment with our values and our calling.
May we continue seeking truth with humility, serving others with compassion, and remaining open to the wisdom that guides us forward. Shalom. 🙏✝️
