The Universitas Foundation, Inc. headquarters was packed with several doctors, medical students and lay persons attending the first Universitas Doctors Forum with PCCP President Dr. Lenora Fernandez last May 31, 2019.

UDF was presented by UFI in cooperation with UP Caduceus and the Biomedical Sciences and Ethics Study Group.

Good day! For those interested:

Introduction to Bioethics, an online course offered by Georgetown University through the online platform edX. This course explores the basic philosophical concepts in bioethics (autonomy, justice, etc.) and provides an overview of competing theories regarding key issues (abortion, surrogacy, euthanasia, "climate change", etc.), among others, taught by professors from the Georgetown University and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.

We strongly advise anyone who decides to pursue this course to treat this for what it is, an introduction to basic concepts meant to guide further studies and readings, and not as a comprehensive guide to decision-making in actual bioethical situations, nor as the final word in key bioethical issues. As with other things of great significance, approach this with an open mind, a discerning heart, and a well-formed conscience. Questions and comments may be posted in this thread, or you may opt to message us directly.
