Happy Eid'l Adha 🤍

Today is a reminder that sacrifice often happens quietly.

In our families.
In our work.
In our businesses.
In our communities.

May this occasion bring peace, gratitude, reflection, and meaningful time with loved ones.

Eid Mubarak from PMFS Consulting.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Good day everyone.

My name is Paul Santiago, founder of PMFS Consulting.

PMFS Consulting primarily provides HR, management, and business consulting services to organizations and business owners. However, one area that has remained close to me throughout my career is research, education, and academic mentoring.

I have been working in Human Resources since 2007, with experience spanning HR leadership, operations management, consulting, and organizational development. Alongside my professional career, I previously taught Psychology at the university level for more than three years, where I handled research subjects, thesis mentoring, and student consultations.

Over the years, I have conducted research both academically and professionally, reviewed numerous undergraduate and graduate studies, and assisted students in various stages of the research process.

As part of PMFS Consulting's professional services, I am opening limited slots for Research and Thesis Consulting.

Areas I can assist with include:
• Research topic refinement
• Proposal development
• Qualitative research design
• Phenomenological studies
• Thematic Analysis and IPA guidance
• Research writing and editing
• Instrument and questionnaire review
• APA formatting
• Thesis coaching and mentoring
• Oral defense preparation

My strongest area is qualitative research, particularly in Psychology, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Organizational Studies, and related fields.

If you are currently working on a thesis, capstone project, dissertation, feasibility study, or academic research paper and need guidance, feel free to send a message to PMFS Consulting.

I look forward to learning about your research and helping you navigate the process!

One thing I've noticed when talking to small business owners:

Most don't wake up one day and say, "I need HR."

What usually happens is this:

An employee resigns.

A conflict happens between team members.

Hiring takes longer than expected.

Someone asks for a policy that doesn't exist.

Or the owner suddenly realizes they're spending more time managing people than growing the business.

That's usually when the HR questions start.

Over the years, I've worked with organizations ranging from startups to BPOs and growing businesses. One common lesson is that good people processes don't have to be complicated.

Sometimes having the right structure early saves a lot of headaches later.

Business owners, what's the biggest people-related challenge you're currently dealing with?

One of the most common operational situations in growing businesses:

Everybody assumes somebody else already handled it 😅

Then eventually:
“I thought it was already approved.”
“I assumed someone informed the team.”
“Wait, who’s handling this again?”

Most of the time, people are actually trying their best.

The issue is usually: unclear ownership, unclear communication,
or processes that evolved too quickly as the business grew.

Sometimes one small clarification already prevents a week-long operational headache.

Quietly reviving this space again 🙂

The past months have mostly looked like this:
meetings, workshops, policies, operations work, planning sessions, coffee shop workdays, family dinners, school events, and trying to balance all of it somehow.

One thing I’ve realized over time:

Behind every business, workflow, org chart, or HR concern are still very real people trying to do meaningful work while also managing life outside of it.

That’s something I want PMFS to reflect more moving forward.

Yes, we care about systems, structure, leadership, and operational growth.

But we also care about building work in a way that still leaves room for family, health, relationships, and being human.

Not just building better organizations.
Building better ways to work and live too.

Happy Monday from PMFS 🙂

Somewhere along the way, “HR” became associated mostly with policies, paperwork, and disciplinary memos 😅

But honestly, a lot of good HR and operations work is just helping teams work together without everything feeling chaotic all the time.

Clearer roles.
Better communication.
Less confusion.
More accountability.
Fewer “wait lang, sino may hawak nito?” moments.

Growing businesses become busy very fast.

Sometimes structure is what finally gives people room to breathe.

One underrated challenge in growing businesses:

The company evolves faster than the systems.

A process that worked for 10 people suddenly breaks at 30.

Communication becomes inconsistent.

Approvals become messy.

Roles start overlapping.

Managers become overloaded.

And before anyone notices, people start calling it a “people problem.”

A lot of the work we do in PMFS actually starts there:

fixing structure before it affects culture.

Sometimes the best HR solution is not motivation.

It’s clarity.

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all get some rest this weekend 🙂

After years working in HR, recruitment, operations, and outsourcing, one thing I realized is that many aspiring VAs and remote workers are actually capable enough to start.

The challenge is that many beginners:

* don’t know what clients actually look for
* struggle with communication
* send generic applications
* or simply feel overwhelmed about where to begin

So I decided to create a practical beginner-friendly VA guide based on real-world hiring and outsourcing experience.

📘 HOW TO GET HIRED AS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

Inside the guide:
✔ What clients actually value
✔ Why many applications get ignored
✔ Better messaging examples
✔ Beginner-friendly tools to learn
✔ A practical 14-day action plan

PLUS bonus resources:
✔ Client Tracker
✔ Messaging Templates
✔ Beginner Mistakes Guide
✔ Service Sheet Template

This is NOT a “get rich quick” ebook.
No fake income promises.
No unrealistic hype.

Just practical guidance for aspiring VAs, students, freelancers, and career shifters trying to enter the remote work space.

💰 Approx. ₱399

You can check it here:

Would appreciate the support and shares as well 🙏

PMFS Consulting has been a little quiet online lately.

Truthfully, the past few months have been busy behind the scenes for us. Between client work, recruitment support, operations consulting, meetings, and everyday life, social media naturally took a bit of a back seat.

But sometimes, silence simply means the work is happening.

We’ve continued helping businesses through HR support, recruitment, operations improvement, outsourcing solutions, and leadership consulting.

As we slowly become more active again, we’re looking forward to sharing more practical insights, lessons, and experiences from the world of people, business, and growth.

Also, a belated Happy Mother’s Day to all the hardworking moms, leaders, founders, and professionals balancing both work and family every day.

Thank you for continuously supporting PMFS Consulting.
