A presentation to the president. Mia's first day of school. Conducting a 5-hour training. They all taught me the same lesson.

The past few weeks have felt full.

One day, I was showcasing our work to one of the company leaders

Then next, I was presenting projects to the president Slides. Numbers. Months of work on the line.

Calm outsideโ€ฆ but my mind was already running through every detail.

A few days later, Mia's first day of school!! ๐ŸŽ‰
I helped her get ready, showing up as a present mom. (Not to mention the days of me shopping for school supplies, school shoes, etc. during lunch breaks).

By the weekend, there was a birthday celebration to attend.

Then Father's Day.

Then came the day, I conducted a 5-hour hybrid training (mixed online and F2F trainees). Talking. Guiding. Showing up for people who needed me fully present.

Nothing extraordinary.

Just my busy life as a corporate mom, breadwinner mom, and a wife.

And in the middle of it all...I noticed something..

I started treating the night before differently.

I found myself putting my phone down earlier.
Not opening my laptop.
Choosing sleep instead of squeezing in one more episode, one more scroll.๐Ÿ˜ด

Because each of those days deserved my best version, not the tired version of me.

Mia deserved a fully present mom on her first day.
My team deserved a data leader who was prepared.
The people attending the training deserved my energy and attention.
My family deserved someone who wasn't mentally somewhere else.

Lately, I'm learning that preparation sometimes looks like saying, "That's enough for today."

Turning off the lights.
Closing your eyes.

And just like how I prepare the night before an important day...

I'm preparing for our future today.
One lesson. One skill. One step at a time for my online business.

Because being a breadwinner mom means preparing for the things you hope never happen, while still making room for the dreams you hope do.

๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ:
Whether it's for tomorrow or for the next 5-10 years...

You don't prepare for the big day when you wake up.
You prepare for it the night before.

Today I spent 5 hours conducting training.
My voice is tired. My body is tired.
But my heart is full.

This photo was taken right after.

Today, as I sat there tired after training,
I found myself thanking God.

Thanking Him for a job I genuinely appreciate.
I'm grateful for every opportunity it has given me.

And thanking Him for the business I'm building alongside it.

A business that continues to work in the background while I work, rest, spend time with my family, or sleep.

It didn't happen overnight.
It started with one scared mom looking for another option.

And little by little, that option became something real.

Tonight, I'm tired.
But I'm also grateful.

Because sometimes the greatest blessing isn't having less work.

It's having more choices.

July 2020. I had just started writing my PhD dissertation when I found out I was pregnant with Mia. Two big chapters of my lifeโ€ฆ happening all at once. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿป

For 4 years, I worked and studied hard. But I remember how quickly I made a decision.

I immediately messaged my adviser.

The dissertation could wait.
My baby could not.

There's more important than all of it.
My body. My baby. My health.

She was 6 weeks, with a very low heart rate. The OB said, I could have lost her if I had not seen her that day.

The pregnancy was not easy.
I was in full bed rest for 3 weeks.

There were nights we were scared.
Nights we didnโ€™t know what would happen next.

But God was kind. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
We survived that season.
Mia and I survived.

And today, that tiny baby is the energetic little girl running around our house, riding bikes at full speed, now a Kindergarten.

Sometimes when I watch her play, I think about everything motherhood has taught me.

Because if I was willing to put aside years of academic work for my daughter...

If I was willing to endure the pain, fear, and uncertainty of that pregnancy...

Then surely, I can do hard things for her future too.

When I almost lost my job 2 years ago, that same feeling came back.

Not fear for myself.
Fear of not being able to provide for the people depending on me.

And that's one of the reasons I started building my online business.

Not because I stopped loving my career or wanted an easy way out.

But because motherhood changed the way I think.

When you're a mom, you don't just think about today.

You think about the future.
You think about options.
You think about how to create a life where your family will be okay no matter what happens.

Because once you've carried a child and fought hard for that child...

You'll do almost anything to build a better future for her.

This is a beautiful moment because it isn't just about the first day of school. It's about everything it took to get here.

As a breadwinner mom, I think about so many things.

Would I always be able to provide?
Would I be able to give Mia the opportunities she deserves?
Would all the sacrifices be worth it?

Today, as we go out together for Mia's first day of school, my heart felt full.

Looking at this photo, I don't just see a proud mom and dad.

I see God's grace.
I see answered prayers.
I see countless ordinary days that led to this moment.

Moments like these remind me why I keep going.
Why I continue to work.
Why I continue to learn.
Why I continue to build.

Not because life is perfect.
But because every step forward creates possibilities for the people I love most.

Today, my heart is simply grateful.

Thank You, Lord, for carrying us farther than we could have imagined.
