Some things just make you happy before you even take the first sip. 🤎

I first fell in love with tsokolate batirol when I was growing up in Cagayan.

Tuwing fiesta nun, pag bumisita ka sa ibang bahay, may tsokolate. There was something so comforting about seeing that thick, warm chocolate being made and shared with family and visitors.

Then, about five years ago, I discovered it again sa Baguio. Sa may Ili Likha.

And just like that… I fell in love all over again. ☕️🤎

I can say, I’m that kind of girl who lights up when I see a stall with “Tokolate de batirol" in the menu.😂

And today, while we were walking around and exploring this beautiful nature place, my eyes suddenly caught a little stall.

TSOKOLATE BATIROL

Oh my. 🤩

Parang batang nakakita ng paboritong pagkain.

Some things are more than just food.
Sometimes they are soul food and memory food.
They bring you back to a place, a memory, a feeling.

And for me, tsokolate de batirol tastes a little like home.

Do you actually want to retire at 60… or do you want the freedom to slow down much earlier?

Close your eyes for a second, momsh.

Imagine you're 60.

You wake up on a Monday morning.

No alarm.

No rush to get ready.

No traffic.

No boss waiting for you to log in.

Sounds nice, right?

But then I want you to ask yourself something…

Why do we have to wait until 60 to experience that kind of life?

What if by then, our children are already grown?

What if the years we spent rushing from work to home are already behind us?

What if we had started building a different kind of life much earlier?

I used to think retirement was simply about having enough money saved.

Now I think about something else too.

Time and strength.

Dapat pag nag-retire, you still have the strength and the time.

to travel.
to be with family.
to wake up slowly.
to enjoy the things we kept saying we'd do “someday.”

Huwag mo nang hintayin na
masakit na ang tuhod,
masakit na ang likod,
mabagal na maglakad at
malabo na ang paningin bago mo sabihing..
Now I get to enjoy my hard work.

I don't know exactly what my life will look like at 60.

But I know I don't want to wait until then to start building the life I want.

That's why I'm starting now, in my 30's while I still have the time and strength to enjoy while I build.

One small step at a time.

Nobody tells you how heavy it feels when too many people are counting on your paycheck.

Imagine this.

It’s payday.

You’re looking at your bank account, but before you even get to enjoy seeing the number, your mind is already dividing it.

This goes to the bills.
This goes to your child’s school.
This goes to groceries.
This goes to your parents.
This needs to be set aside for the next emergency.

And whatever is left?
You’re already thinking about the next cutoff.

Nobody sees that calculation happening in your head.

At work, you’re just another employee.
At home, you’re the one everyone is counting on.

So when someone says,
“At least you have a stable job,” you smile.

Because yes, you’re grateful.

But sometimes you quietly wonder…
“What happens to everyone if something happens to me?”

That question changed how I looked at my future.

I realized I didn't just want to work harder.
I wanted to build more options while I still could.

Because being a provider is something I'm proud of.
But I also want to feel prepared for the life I'm building.

𝗗𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮. Before I learned how to use a computer I learned how to work with my bare hands.

Bago ang corporate life.
Bago ako naging breadwinner mom.
At bago ako naging digital entrepreneur.

Dito ako nagsimula.

Sa farm ng tatay ko.

🌱 Dito ko unang nakita ang meaning ng hard labor.

🌱 Dito ko naranasan gumising sa umaga na masakit ang katawan dahil sa pagod maghapon

🌱 Dito ko nakita kung gaano kahirap kitain ang ₱100.

🌱 Dito ako natutong gumising nang maaga dahil may trabahong binilin ang tatay bago sumikat ang araw.

🌱 Dito ko nadevelop yung principle na kailangan tapusin ang trabaho bago umuwi.

🌱 Dito ko na build yung character na pag may nangangailangan, tulungan.

No shortcut. Just pure work.

I didn’t know back then that the farm was teaching me lessons I would carry into adulthood.

Years later, I found myself as a corporate and breadwinner mom and also running my own business.

Because the little girl who grew up here already knew how to work hard, keep going, respect every peso, finish what she started, and help when she can.

Dito ako nagsimula.👩🏻‍🌾

And maybe, this is also where the story of the woman I’m becoming began. 👩🏻‍💼

Ikaw mommy, pano at saan ka nagsimula?
