What is my consideration in designing, signing and sealing electrical plans?

As a Professional Electrical Engineer, there are several important considerations to keep in mind when I'm designing, signing and sealing electrical plans.

✅The first and foremost consideration in designing, signing, and sealing electrical plans is ensuring that they comply with all applicable codes and regulations. This includes the latest edition of Philippine Electric Code (PEC) and any other international Standards and regulations that may be relevant to the project.

✅Electrical plans must be designed with safety as a top priority. This means taking into account the potential hazards of electrical systems, such as electrocution, fire, and shock. I consider factors such as proper grounding and bonding, adequate protection against overcurrent, and proper placement of electrical equipment.

✅Electrical plans must be accurate and detailed to ensure that the electrical system will function as intended. This includes proper sizing of conductors, circuits, and equipment, as well as proper placement and routing of wiring.

✅Electrical plans must be clear and easy to understand, both for the Engineers and for the electricians who will be installing the system. This includes clear labeling of components and wiring, and using industry-standard symbols and terminology.
