Alam mo yung parang subscription na hindi mo naman nagagamit.
Parang gym membership na binabayaran mo pero di mo napupuntahan.
But here’s what I realized (and honestly, medyo nakakahiya aminin):
Insurance only feels like a scam…
until the day you actually need it.
Because let’s be real:
When someone gets sick…
hindi mo pwedeng i-message yung hospital:
“Hi po, pass muna ako sa bill… naka-budget kasi ako this month.”
When emergencies happen…
walang 0% interest. Walang installment. Walang “pay later.”
But insurance?
It’s the ONLY thing in life you pay for before you need it…
so that when life punches you in the throat,
you don’t fall apart financially.
People say insurance is a scam because:
• “Wala naman ako nakukuha.”
• “Ang tagal ng kita.”
• “Ayoko ng monthly bayad.”
But here’s the twist:
Those are the exact reasons why insurance works.
It protects you before disaster comes, not after.
It’s like complaining your seatbelt is useless
just because you didn’t crash today.
Insurance isn’t a scam.
The scam is thinking you’re invincible.
The scam is assuming “hindi mangyayari sa’kin yan.”
The scam is waiting for life to slap you
before you start preparing.
So no… insurance isn’t a scam.
It’s the one thing that shows up when nobody else can.
Not your job.
Not your savings.
Not your credit card.
Someday, you’ll look back and say:
“Thank God I got protected before life happened.”
