Building Safer, Youth-Inclusive Cities Together 🏙️✨

Last January 22-23, Baguio City hosted the Safe and Sound Cities (S²Cities) Global Learning Network Roundtable, and the LCA team was right in the heart of the action!

It was an insightful two days of deep dives and cross-city exchanges. We had a great time collaborating with Ms. Emily and Ms. Kelly from Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation, who were incredible at breaking down complex ideas and asking the pivotal questions that drive innovation.

Among those who joined the exchange was Naga’s architecture pride, Ar. GP Priela, and most especially, proudly representing the LCA team was Mr. Jerson Emata—joining forces with innovators across Naga and Bandung in shaping safer urban futures.

𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙧, 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝-𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧

Last January 22-23, Baguio City proudly hosted the Safe and Sound Cities (S²Cities) Global Learning Network Roundtable, bringing together city representatives, youth innovators, and partners from across the region.

As a pioneer member of the S²Cities GLN, we engaged in meaningful dialogue on youth-led innovations that are actively improving safety, wellbeing, and inclusion in urban decision-making. From inspiring visits to our SIGLAT Youth Innovation Hub to cross-city exchanges with Naga and Bandung, these two days showcased the power of young people in shaping safer urban futures.

Thank you to ICLEI Southeast Asia, Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation, Cordilleran Youth Center, WeSolve Foundation Inc., and all participating cities and youth leaders for making this collaborative learning experience possible.
