As of monitoring from March 29 to April 5, 2026, at 8:00 AM, a total of 59 drowning incidents, 91 fire incidents, and 455 vehicular incidents were reported nationwide. The PNP emphasized that these figures are continuously being validated as part of its ongoing assessment, while personnel remain deployed to ensure public safety during the final day of Holy Week.

With Easter Sunday drawing large crowds to beaches, resorts, and other public places, the PNP assured that all personnel remain on full alert to ensure public safety and assist the influx of travelers and holiday-goers.

PNP Chief, Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., reminded the public to remain vigilant and practice safety measures, especially in recreational areas.

He also emphasized responsible driving and heightened awareness to prevent accidents on major roads and highways.

The PNP’s ongoing operations are aligned with its Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, ensuring efficient deployment, visibility, and rapid response in coordination with other government agencies, in support of the directive of Ferdinand R.
