One bush produces many fruits and they will keep on bearing fruits over and over.

Cranberries are a good source of certain vitamins and minerals, as well as several unique plant compounds that may help prevent UTIs, stomach cancer, and heart disease.(Healthline).

Need to plant more.

It was only red back then. A small packet of Chippy can almost feed a whole gang. Only those who are financially better off can afford to buy Chippy from their baon. While, us, who survived school by making do with the jeepney fare allowance benefited from the generosity of friends and classmates.

Those were the days, when baon (snack allowance) was either meager or rare, when having a packet of Chippy or Chiz Curlz was a treat.

Did we experience depression back then? Nah, it wasn’t in our vocabulary. Did we get envious of our classmates who have pretty chest-like pencil cases, a double Crayola and a pad of paper? Perhaps.

The borrowed crayola, ballpen or pencil, a recycled notebook still managed to give us good grades and recognition. With baon or none, we enjoyed school .

Nothing deterred us from going to the top state university. Determination and kindness strengthened us.

Fast forward to the present. Chippy comes in blue and red wrapper. One can afford to buy an entire box and feed the whole gang.

Nothing beats a packet of Chippy to bring back the memories of youth, always with fondness. No regrets.

Salamat sa nag share ng Chippy. Nag bigay ng papel. Nagpahiram ng ballpen at libro. Your kindness have rewarded you am sure.

Ikaw, anong Chippy memory mo?

Once upon a time, I did intro dive in Balicasag Island in Bohol. It was an amazing experience. Since it was an intro dive, I had to be guided by the dive instructor all throughout.

I wish to do this again.

Ano ba talaga Kuya?

Notice the first picture . Content Monetization says “Your page is NOT earning money. Then I clicked it and the second pic is the result.

It says “Your page is ACTIVE and EARNING …”

Quite confusing for a newbie and is just posting what makes Fiesta Everyday.

Have you encountered this issue, too? Will appreciate your thoughts.

Ticog is a type of grass that wildly grows in swampy areas, in the peatlands of Leyte and Samar.

They are dried, dyed, flattened and woven into mats or banig. The banig comes in single, double and family sizes.

It was a favorite pasalubong for families and newly-wed couples personalized by embroidering the couple’s names or the family name.

The traditional colors were green, yellow and maroon and designed with flowers or the San Juanico Bridge.

The mat has evolved into several products- bags, purses, cushion covers, center pieces, table runners, wall decors, among others.

The ticog mat weaving industry is alive and sustained by about thirty (30) mat weavers associations composed mostly of women in the town of Basey, Samar.

Ticog mat weaving is also practiced in some parts of Leyte specifically in Alangalang, San Miguel and Tanauan where ticog grows abundantly.

You can buy products made of ticog from pasalubong centers at the Tacloban airport and the pasalubong centers in Tacloban, Basey and other towns.

‘MAS MABIGAT BA ANG LUHA KAPAG ANG UMIIYAK AY MAY POSISYON?’

Cubao Bishop Elias Ayuban Jr. questioned Senator Pia Cayetano’s silence during the height of the drug war following the Senator’s emotional remarks over the recent gunfire incident inside the Senate on May 20, 2026.

“May mga mamamayang natutong yumuko sapagkat mapanganib ang tumingin sa mata ng kapangyarihan. Kinakamusta mo rin ba sila? Ngunit hindi noon umalingawngaw ang iyong galit sa bulwagan. Hindi noon nagmistulang banal ang bawat buhay na nawala,” he expressed on Thursday.

Ayuban also raised questions on justice, compassion, and whose suffering receives attention.

“Kaya ngayo’y nagtatanong lamang ako: Ang hustisya ba’y may paboritong adres?

The bishop concluded the letter by remembering mothers, children, and communities left wounded by the campaign against illegal drugs. (Facebook/Elias Ayuban Jr.)
