1 April 2026
Balagtas, Bulacan โ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bulacan has reaffirmed market stability following its continuous price and supply monitoring of basic and prime commodities in the Municipality of Balagtas, despite ongoing increases in oil prices.
In its latest monitoring activity, DTI Bulacan reported that the prices of essential goods under its jurisdiction remain compliant with, and in many cases below, the prevailing Suggested Retail Prices (SRP). This indicates that retailers and distributors continue to adhere to fair pricing practices, safeguarding consumer welfare amid external economic pressures.
Moreover, the supply of basic and prime commodities remains sufficient and stable, with no significant disruptions observed during the inspection period. At present, the effects of rising fuel costs have not resulted in price increases at the retail level.
DTI Bulacan continues to engage with market participants to ensure that any adjustments remain reasonable and in accordance with existing pricing guidelines.
The agency emphasized its commitment to closely monitor market conditions and ensure compliance with price regulations. Consumers are likewise encouraged to remain vigilant and report any violations to help maintain a fair and competitive marketplace.
As the oil price situation evolves, DTI Bulacan assures the public that it will sustain its monitoring efforts to protect consumers and promote price stability across the province.
