Cacao Seedling after a month in the nursery.

After 2 weeks. Look at them grow.

We had to plant directly as we didnt prepare enough bags to put them on. Now transferring to bags slowly.

After seeds are planted, we covered them with banana leaves. After a week we removed them.

Seed Bags 3x3x8
Potting mixture 1 part rice hull & 4 parts of top soil or garden soil

3 kg seeds is almost 1000 seeds

Field grafting can be done after 12-18 months

Start fruiting 24 months from planting and full fruiting after 4-5 years.

Uf18 for seeds and graft different variety scions.

After planting directly (if you were not able to ready seed bags), open 8-14 days after and transfer to seed bags

Some facts about cacao production in the Philippines:
- Cacao production from April to June 2021 increased to 2.22 thousand metric tons or by 9.9 percent, from 2.02 thousand metric tons in the same quarter of the previous year.
- Davao Region was still the major producer of cacao with 1.59 thousand metric tons output or 71.4 percent share to the country’s total cacao production for this quarter.
