The name, BF Artistry, stands for a number of meanings and reasons.. Primarily, B stands for "Baes", which is the married surname of Jendie, the head Make-Up Artist. While F stands for "Fontanilla", the married surname of Reinna, the head Hair Stylist. Armed with their
natural skills and talent and long tight friendship, BF Artistry was then formed. Jendie Baes and Reinna Mae Fontanilla have been
good friends for 15 years now. They both finished highschool in San Beda College Alabang. Being aware that they both love make-ups and other "kikay" stuffs, they've decided to venture on this glamorous field. Jendie spent six years of her life in College. Her first course after highschool was BA-Mass Communication and spent three years studying the course. She then realized that this field was not her calling. After three years, she went to London to continue on Mass Communication Major in Journalism at Middlesex University. Jendie stayed there for a week and eventually pulled out. As an only child, she felt home sick, and moreover, its not really her passion.. She then thought of taking Fashion because of her tita/ninang. She instatntly realized that Fashion was indeed her calling. Jendie studied at LaSalle College International, Makati. It is a Canadian school that built franchise here in the Philippines. It is well-known in Montreal as one of the prestigious school for arts. She then got married last 2008 and was instantly blessed with a baby boy on that same year. With years of being equipped with knowledge and skills in make-up and its application, she formally took up Make-Up Artistry at the Center for Aesthetic Studies last November 2011. Armed with her passion, cleverness in gown designing and talented handling of make-up brushes, she is now determined to invade the wedding industry. Reinna, on the other hand, finished a course far from the world of make-ups and hair styling. She studied BS in Pharmacy in University of the Philippines Manila and she is currently a Registered Pharmacist. Reinna was a former Clinical Pharmacist in VMV Skin Research Center, where she used to formulate and create facial products for VMV cosmetic brand for the chief dermatologist's clinic use. She then ventured on formulating commercial beauty products, such as body wash, and worked as a Research & Development Laboratory Assistant in Sara Lee Philippines. Before she decided to venture on Hair Styling and Make-up Artistry, she was a Professional Medical Sales Representative of GlaxoSmithKline. Reinna got hitched last January 2012 and this paved her the way of deciding to become a home maker and pursue working on the side as a hair stylist and make-up artist, a career she has been yearning for. Reinna took up Basic Make-up course at Kryolan Professional Make-up Philippines, under Ms. Faye Young, Philippine's well-known senior make-up artist and make-up instructor. Jendie and Reinna took up Hair Styling course at Style Studio Fashion & Design School under Ms. Michelle Cabrera. Upon seeing the aftermath, although Jendie has lots of ideas in mind for hair styles, she then decided that it was really Reinna's expertise and that she can execute them better. ;)
Both artists took up Basic Airbrush at Kryolan Professional Make-up Philippines under Ms. Faye Young. Hand in hand, in this glamorous line of career, the BF partners know that they will both move up and succeed... in God's will and in God's time. ;)
