If We Stop...

There was a time when this street had no skateboarders.

Not because kids weren't interested.

Because there was nobody left to watch.

Life gets busy. Jobs, businesses, families... it happens. Before you know it, the board is sitting in the corner collecting dust.

I told myself I'd skate again when I had more time.

Then I came back.

Nothing crazy. No hammers. No bangers. Just pushing around and remembering why I fell in love with skateboarding in the first place.

A few kids walked over.

They weren't asking what tricks I could do.

They weren't asking if I was sponsored.

They asked,

*"Kuya... are you guys skating here again?"*

That question hit harder than any slam.

It made me realize something.

Maybe skateboarding doesn't disappear.

Maybe skateboarders do.

The next generation isn't waiting for another skate video to drop.

They're waiting to see someone skating down their street.

You don't have to be the best skater.

You just have to keep showing up.

Because somewhere, someone's first push starts with seeing yours.
