Limitless Lab, in partnership with the ASEAN Foundation, successfully hosted "LimitlessBiz National Policy Convening: Unlocking Policy, Practice, and Partnership Possibilities for AI-Empowered MSMEs in the Philippines" at the Likhang Filipino Gallery 1, Pasay City held on May 07, 2026.
The landmark event brought together over 100 stakeholders from government agencies, industry leaders, and MSME enablers to co-create a roadmap for responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in the Philippines.
The convening is a cornerstone of the AI for MSME Advancement in ASEAN (AIM ASEAN) programme, supported by AVPN, Google.org and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
With a national goal of training 17,500 MSMEs, the Philippine National Policy Convening focused on translating on-the-ground business experiences into actionable national policy recommendations aligned with the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2030.
The convening highlighted that AI is no longer a future concept but a practical necessity for the survival and growth of MSMEs in today's economy.
A central goal of the event was to ensure that the voices and needs of small business owners remain at the forefront of the policies governing the country's rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Key highlights of the convening included:
โข Multi-Stakeholder Panels: Discussions featured leaders from the DTI, DICT, and industry experts focusing on breaking down barriers such as affordability, digital literacy, and data governance.
โข LimitlessBiz App Launch: Limitless Lab officially introduced the waitlist for its AI-enabled platform, designed to provide MSMEs with hands-on learning modules and practical AI tools like Gemini.
โข Policy Co-Creation Workshops: Participants worked in clusters to identify regulatory gaps and propose financing mechanisms to support small-scale AI integration.
The recommendations surfaced during the event will be synthesized into a National Policy Brief to be presented to the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on MSMEs (ACCMSME) and the DTI Philippines.
Limitless Lab extends its sincere appreciation to all speakers, panelists, moderators, exhibitors, volunteers, partners, media representatives, and participants who contributed to the success of the convening.
Special thanks as well to the ASEAN Foundation, AVPN, Google.org, ADB, CITEM, and all collaborating organizations and community partners for supporting the shared mission of building a more inclusive, responsible, and AI-ready future for MSMEs in the Philippines and across ASEAN.
