Today, we observe Araw ng Kagitingan, the Day of Valor.
On April 9, 1942, over 76,000 Filipino and American soldiers surrendered after defending Bataan for three months. What followed was the Bataan Death March, where thousands lost their lives to exhaustion, starvation, and violence.
They were not just soldiers, but sons, fathers, and neighbors who chose courage in the face of overwhelming odds.
Their legacy lives on in the values we uphold today, integrity, resilience, and service.
This Araw ng Kagitingan, we remember their sacrifice and honor the courage that helped shape our nation. 🇵đź‡
