The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) convened the first-ever DICT Trusted Assessment Providers (DTAP) Assembly, formally establishing the DTAP Association, a unified body aimed at professionalizing and advancing the country’s cybersecurity industry.
The assembly marks a significant milestone in the Philippines’ digital transformation agenda, bringing together leading cybersecurity firms and industry experts under a single organization to strengthen standards, collaboration and capacity-building across the sector.
“The formal establishment of the DTAP Association signals a new era of collective responsibility in securing our digital future,” said George P. Tardio, Officer-in-Charge Director of the DICT Cybersecurity Bureau. “Cybersecurity is no longer the responsibility of a single agency or organization. It requires a strong, coordinated ecosystem of professionals who uphold standards, invest in capability development, and work together to anticipate and address evolving cyber threats. Through DTAP, we are institutionalizing that collaboration.”
The newly formed DTAP Association is composed of founding member-organizations from across the cybersecurity ecosystem, including:
RT&Co Cybersecurity, Inc.
Sycip Gorres Velayo & Co.
Nullforge Security Inc.
Trends and Technologies, Inc.
Next Gen. Tech. Global Inc.
Red Rock IT Security Inc.
Rosehall Management Consultants, Inc.
Secuna Software Technologies, Inc.

J. Pineda Cybersecurity
The Association has established standing committees to guide its direction and ensure sustainability: Executive; Capability Development (Academic and Professional Development); Research and Development; Ethics and Governance (Standardization and Methodologies); Membership; and Ways and Means.

Strengthening National Cyber Resilience
The formal establishment of the DTAP Association provides the Philippines with a coordinated mechanism to advance cybersecurity standards, develop local talent, and promote research-driven innovation.
By organizing the country’s digital transformation and cybersecurity professionals under a single association, DICT reinforces a shared responsibility model — where government and private sector stakeholders work in alignment to safeguard critical infrastructure, businesses, and citizens from evolving cyber threats.
As the Philippines accelerates its digital transformation agenda, the DTAP Association is positioned to serve as a cornerstone institution, ensuring that innovation is matched with security, accountability, and resilience.
