I & J BUSINESS MANAGEMENT CONSULTING was officially formed in 2009 as a sole Proprietorship, owned and managed by yours truly, Maria Isabel S. Mendoza. I am the 2nd generation Pawnshop Consultant in the Philippines, as I wanted to follow my father's footsteps, who's is the pawnshop industry since my childhood days. Emulating his values and character, acting with kindness, integrity, generosity, diligence, career and honoring his legacy and to continue his work.
After finishing school, my father has assigned me to attend trainings at BSP on his student's behalf (as representative), AMLA & Pawnshop Briefing. I was the one submitting the required documents of his students/clients' applications for a pawnshop business. This is where I learned everything about starting the business. Besides, he trained me to appraise jewerly, too.
I learned a lot from him, in addition to my vast experience working at a pawnshop for over 30 years. My exposure to the pawnshop for so long is where I gained expertise in this business. Because I didn't just get a position as an appraiser, it upgraded as Operation Manager.
At age 50, nag decide na ako mag retire working sa pawnshop. Nag tatrabaho ako mg ilang decada ng hindi ako compensated. Duon ko naisip na sundin ang footsteps of my father. kung kaya nag establish ako ng sarili ko consultancy business which I think I deserved. At ngayon na hit ko ang position as a " Pawnshop Consultant"
