My internship at Rethink Safety Inc. as a Full Stack Software Developer Intern was a meaningful and rewarding experience that contributed a lot to my growth, both technically and personally. It gave me the opportunity to apply what Iโve learned in school to real-world tasks, which helped me further develop my skills in software and website development. I was able to work on actual projects, handle debugging, and understand how systems are
designed, developed, and maintained in a professional environment. Being exposed to real workflows and project requirements helped me become more careful, analytical, and
efficient in my work.
Throughout the internship, I also improved many of my soft skills. I became more confident in communicating with my teammates and supervisors, especially when discussing tasks, asking for clarification, or giving updates. I also learned how to manage my time better, particularly when handling multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines. Working closely with a team allowed me to enhance my collaboration skills and taught me how to
adapt to different situations and work styles.
One of the things I appreciated most about my experience at Rethink Safety Inc. was the positive and professional work environment. The company promotes a healthy work-life
balance, which helped me stay productive without feeling overwhelmed or pressured. The supervisors and workmates were approachable, supportive, and willing to guide me whenever I needed help. Their mentorship and feedback played an important role in helping me improve and gain confidence in my abilities.
Overall, this internship gave me valuable exposure to how the industry works and what is
expected in a real job setting. It helped me build a stronger foundation in both my technical
and interpersonal skills. More importantly, it allowed me to experience what itโs like to be
part of a professional team, which prepared me for my future career as an IT professional.
