Veer Crochet

Veer Crochet Custom-made amigurumi dolls. Feel free to send me a message! "I want my crochet plushies to be safe for children and for the environment." And so, I chose cotton.

That was the thought which led me towards how I create my amigurumis today. Before, I didn't know that there were different kinds of yarn. I thought acrylic meant the same thing as cotton! After all, they’re all just string, right? Acrylic is 2 to 3 times cheaper so I obviously preferred those. But then, I learned that it's made from petroleum products, which is non-renewable and non-biodegradable

. I have clients who ask me to make baby shoes and toys, so I realized that I had to take into consideration the effect the material would have on the delicate skin of babies. Cotton is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. Plus, it’s super soft and comfortable for little children. Of course, even if my client is someone not quite young (young-at-heart haha) I still continue to use 100% cotton yarn and threads. There is always the consideration that they may gift it to their kids, that they may like that particular texture, or that they may also be environmentally conscious. Whatever the reason, I know that I'm sending them products that I can be proud of - not just because its my creation, but also because they're safe for persons of all ages and the environment.

Huge thank you to Mordren Gloom for teaching me how to do resin pouring! She makes resin keychains and coasters (the aesthetic ones!!), and also 3D prints cute-creepy-gothic stuff lmao. Please order from her if you're interested!

These ones are my resin pour experiments on acrylics, gouache/watercolor, and washi tape. I also made a little tray painting but I'm still figuring out how to create a nice reel out of the process haha! Please look forward to it!
