The Artemis II mission comes at a great timing. As the influence of the United States wanes, the moon launch comes at a perfect time for the US to distract their allies. Look at how Western Media is plastered with interviews and videos about the launch.

During the space race, they had to do the Apollo missions to show their scientific might against the USSR. Of course, ngayon na alam nila na hindi na mabilog ang mga tao with their hegemony, magbigay sila ng spectacle. Tapos itong mga p*ta ni US, madala.

They have been doing it in recent years.

Disney movies na from Southeast Asia ang characters. (Pero of course kulang pa rin sa research minsan, basta lang may maproduce.)
Dreamworks movie na inspired from the Philippines.

China has been going on with far more impressive feats in sciences. Recently lang, they were the first country to land on the far side of the moon. They also launched their first space station (Tiangong space station). Aside from that, they also had advances in transportation and in medical sciences.

Pero of course, kay controlled man ni US ang major news sources, hilom lang masyado sila.

Tapos, kung tutuusin, mas impressive ang USSR during the Space Race. They have a lot of firsts (first man in space, first animal in space, first space station, first artificial satellite). Tapos ang rhetoric ng US, yung moon landing na yung peak.

Hay nalang talaga ito sila.

I don't really get the anger towards the contractors. It deviates public opinion from those who really need to held accountable.

Contractors need to face punishment if they did steal from public coffers. But let us not forget WHO ARE accountable to the people. Let us not forget who invited and enabled these contractors in the first place.

Section 1, Article XI of the 1987 Philippine Constitution states,

"Public office is a public trust. Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives."

The contractors are not accountable to us. Those in public office are.

Let us not forget 'liquidation by certification' (https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/351769/lacson-proposes-new-rules-on-liquidation-of-mooe-expenses). The US Congress is strict with forcing lawmakers detail every cent of their expense. Ours only submit mere certifications.

This is supposed to be a republic FOR the people, OF the people, and BY the people. Let me remind everyone that our politicians are accountable to us, not the other way around.

Let us not be angry at the proxy. The puppeteers should be held accountable.

I don't really see the need to sing 'Bagong Pilipinas' in schools.

First, it is buki. Pangit ng lyrics at forced. I like the melody, catchy siya, pero intindihin mo ang lyrics parang walang masyadong soul. Kung sa election pa, motherhood statements lahat. Dapat yung parang National Anthem ng France ba o ng Spain na pag kantahin mo, parang ready ka na to go to revolution.

Second, what exactly is the point of singing it in schools? It is a song reflecting the goal of an administration. Kung pakantahin mo ang government officials ng 'Bagong Pilipinas', parang pwede pa. Pero yung sa students?

Saan ka good nakakita ng bansa na ganyan? Na ipakanta sa students ang goal ng isang government administration? Ay wait, North Korea. Pang mind condition ng students lang.

Ang national anthem, timeless yan. It is the song across all administrations, across all political colors. Yan yung dapat ginapakanta sa students. Pero yang administration anthem? Y*wa, di ko talaga maintindihan ang point.

Also, ano din ang point ng hymns na sobra 2min ang kanta? Kung hindi lang kayo Tacurong Hymn, Awit ng Magpet, o Kidapawan Hymn, aynamog pasobra uy.
