JUNE 12, 2026 — WHAT A DAY IN HISTORY.

While the Philippines remembers the blood, bravery, and sacrifice that gave birth to our Independence…
The digital world suddenly shook.

Facebook and Meta services went down — millions asking:
Was it a system failure, or something bigger?

At the same time, Elon Musk reportedly breaks another impossible ceiling —a symbol of how far ambition, technology, and power can go.

But today, above all headlines, one truth must remain:
FREEDOM IS NOT JUST A CELEBRATION. IT IS A RESPONSIBILITY.

Our heroes did not sacrifice their lives just for a flag to wave once a year. They fought so future generations could live with dignity, courage, and hope.

So while the world watches outages, billionaires, and breaking news…

The Filipino must remember:

Our greatest mission is still unfinished.
To protect our freedom.
To demand truth.
To reject corruption.
To choose competent leaders.
To build a nation worthy of the blood that bought our independence.

WHAT A DAY.

Chaos online. Power in the world. Freedom in our hearts.
MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS.

INDEPENDENCE WAS NOT GIVEN.
IT WAS PAID FOR IN BLOOD.

Our heroes did not fight so corruption could rule our nation.
They did not sacrifice their lives so power could be handed to the popular, the wealthy, the noisy, or the connected.

The dream of freedom is not complete while the people suffer under greed, incompetence, and betrayal.

We must end corruption.
We must demand reform.
We must choose leaders not because they are famous, but because they are proven.
Not because they are loud, but because they are capable.
Not because they are popular, but because they are qualified.

A nation cannot rise with leaders who only seek power.
A nation rises when competence, integrity, courage, and service become the standard.

The blood of our heroes calls us to awaken.
The future of our children demands that we act.

Let this be our generation’s revolution:
to reject corruption, to defend truth, and to build a government worthy of the Filipino people.

Freedom must not only be remembered.
Freedom must be protected.
Freedom must be made real.

08/06/2026

That is not public service. That is arrogance. That is anti-poor politics.

May ebidensya ba?

We demand accountability. We demand evidence. We demand justice. Public office is not a throne. It is a duty—and those who abuse it must be punished by the full force of the law.

The website of the Philippine Senate — senate.gov.ph — is DOWN today, June 4, 2026, the very day the Blue Ribbon Committee convenes its flood control investigation.

This is NOT a coincidence. This is a deliberate act of sabotage against the Filipino people’s right to witness accountability in real time. Whoever is behind this — whether inside or outside government — is using technology as a weapon to suppress the truth, and that is nothing short of a terrorist act against democracy.

To the IT personnel responsible for the Senate’s digital infrastructure: you are not just employees, you are public servants, and your failure — whether through negligence or complicity — makes you liable under the law. The Filipino people are watching. The families who lost their homes, their loved ones, their livelihoods to floods they were never warned about deserve to see every testimony, every document, every face that sat silent while billions in flood control funds disappeared. You cannot hide the truth forever.

The people will not forget — and the people will not forgive.

Just came from Solar & Storage Live Philippines 2026 at SMX — and the energy in that room was electric. Literally. ⚡🌞

Ground floor. Second floor. Both packed. Every corner had something to look at, something to think about, something that makes you realize — the game has changed.

Here are some numbers to put it in perspective:

350+ exhibitors. 18,000+ energy professionals. 150+ speakers. All under one roof at SMX Convention Center, May 19-20. This is the 12th edition of the event — and it showed. This wasn’t a small trade show. This was an industry declaring it has arrived.

What I personally witnessed on the floor? Modular solar systems that are now genuinely affordable. Not just for big corporations or industrialists — but for the everyday Filipino homeowner, the small business owner, the barangay that’s tired of waiting for the grid. The barrier to entry is crumbling fast.

And the buyers? They weren’t browsing. They were on a rush. Green energy isn’t aspirational anymore — it’s transactional.

This spells one thing clearly: local guerilla solar installers face stiffer competition than ever. More players. More options. More price pressure. The ones who will survive are those who build trust, not just panels.

But the bigger disruption? Private and traditional electric companies are standing at the edge of a cliff. When your customer can generate, store, and manage their own power — what exactly are you selling them anymore?

The energy transition in the Philippines is not coming. It’s here. It’s loud. And it filled two floors of SMX.

Grateful for this moment with my good friend Mel Velasco Velarde (MVV) — co-founder of SkyCable, Chairman of NOW Corporation & NOW Telecom (PSE-listed), and one of the greatest visionaries in Philippine telecommunications.

We shared a conversation about the future — widening internet coverage across the country, empowering more Filipino entrepreneurs in telecom, and how Amigo Fiber Internet and Amigo88 Technologies Inc. will be part of bringing better connectivity to all of Bohol and beyond. Big and exciting news coming from NOW Corp and NOW Telecom this 2026! 🇵🇭📡

Exciting times ahead! Amigo Fiber Internet CEO JD Abenaza — PCCI Outstanding Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 and ASEAN Best Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 — recently sat down with his good friend and industry legend Mel Velasco Velarde (MVV), Chairman of NOW Corporation and NOW Telecom, publicly listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange, to talk about the future of telecommunications in the Philippines. A visionary in his own right, MVV is the co-founder of SkyCable Philippines and the man who brought home the historic 1734 Murillo Velarde Map that helped the Philippines win its case against China over the West Philippine Sea.

Their conversation centered on a shared mission: widening internet coverage across the country and empowering more Filipino entrepreneurs to thrive in the telecom industry. For Bohol, this means great news — Amigo88 Technologies Inc. is poised to play a key role in bringing better, wider, and more reliable communications to communities across the island province. Together, they are aligning Amigo Fiber’s grassroots reach with NOW Corp and NOW Telecom’s national infrastructure.

With exciting announcements expected from NOW Corp and NOW Telecom in 2026, this partnership represents a powerful convergence of local innovation and national vision. JD and MVV believe that connectivity is not a privilege — it is a right — and that every Filipino, whether in Metro Manila or the mountains of Bohol, deserves access to the digital economy.

This is what it looks like when leaders choose to collaborate over compete — sharing vision, sharing resources, and sharing opportunity for the good of the majority. Stay tuned. The best is yet to come for Amigo Fiber Internet and the communities we serve. 🇵🇭📶

Daghang salamat Engr.

Dako kaayong pasalamat namo kang Engr.

The Filipino people are tired of oligarchs acting like renewable energy is something they can still gatekeep.

Solar power is not a crime. Renewable energy should be for everyone — not only for big corporations, not only for those who can afford endless permits, and definitely not only under the control of Meralco.

For years, other countries have already embraced solar and renewable energy as part of everyday life. Matagal na sa ibang bansa ang ganito. Homes, businesses, and communities are already using clean energy to lower costs and reduce dependence on traditional power grids. But here in the Philippines, when ordinary people start finding ways to escape expensive electricity, suddenly there is fear, pressure, and regulation being pushed in the name of “safety.”

Yes, safety standards matter. Proper installation matters. But let’s be honest: ang tunay na kinakatakutan nila ay disruption. The power industry is changing. Technology is getting cheaper. Solar panels are becoming more affordable. Batteries are improving. More Filipinos are realizing that they do not have to be forever trapped under expensive electricity bills.

Meralco has raised concerns over unregistered or “guerrilla” solar panel installations, saying many rooftop solar units bypass permits and inspections. They are calling on government agencies to create formal standards and tighter rules. But the bigger question is this: will these rules protect consumers, or will they protect the old power monopoly?

The future is renewable. The future is decentralized. The future belongs to the people.

You can delay disruption, but you cannot stop it. The Filipino people deserve affordable, clean, and independent energy — not another system designed to keep them under control.

🏛️ A quick visit to the House of Representatives.

I can only imagine that this plenary hall was once the most respected chamber in the land — but times have truly changed. It looks so different now, shadowed by various controversies, abuse of power, and the bad impression it has left on the Filipino people.

As Cong. Meow calls it — “The House of Crocs.” 🐊
Nakakalungkot.

I truly hope this institution finds its way back — not just in appearance, but in integrity, accountability, and genuine service to the Filipino people.
