Did you know ? The first original version of Minecraft was developed by only one person. At the present, Minecraft is owned by Microsoft and is one of the biggest video games in the gaming industry. While it currently has hundreds of devs working on it, it was originally made by one person only.

Markus "Notch" Persson single-handedly developed Minecraft in 2009. He originally worked on it part-time as it was a sort of personal project, however, after seeing the success of the alpha version, he started working on it full time as he quit his job at Jalbum.net at the time.
