Every holiday carries a story worth preserving.

Beyond a period of rest and celebration, Holy Week invites us to pause—not just as individuals, but as communities shaped by shared memory, tradition, and place.

At HARAYA, we see these moments as part of a larger narrative, one that informs how communities grow, connect, and sustain themselves over time. Because every place carries a memory, and every memory shapes our collective future.

Haraya, in celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, recognizes the vital role and contributions of women in disaster sensemaking.

This year’s theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” calls for understanding women through the lens of intersectionality and adopting mechanisms that meaningfully include women in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and providing avenues for them to express and narrate their lived experiences.

We invite you to join a research presentation on:

“Danas dagiti babai: The Critical Roles and Experiences of Women in 2018 Disaster Sensemaking in Ucab, Itogon, Benguet,” co-authored by Haraya’s Kylie Angeles.

The study highlights the experiences of five women from Barangay Ucab, Itogon, Benguet, following the 2018 landslide, demonstrating how women’s voices are essential in shaping inclusive policies and frameworks.

Event Details:

The HARAYA Team has completed the research on survey data, technical computations, and AutoCADD documentation for Barangay Papaya, Municipality of Nasugbu, Batangas, under our Consulting Services for Research and Engineering Design. This milestone strengthens the technical and planning foundation for a structured, sustainable resettlement program grounded in accuracy, efficiency, and community-centered development.

Through this initiative, we support safe and dignified resettlement by promoting security of tenure, facilitating the issuance of individual land titles for qualified beneficiaries, and helping ensure access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities in collaboration with the Local Government Unit.

The HARAYA Team successfully conducted the initial consultation meeting as part of the Formulation of the Tourism Development Plan (TDP) of the Municipality of Angadanan, Isabela - Phase 1. The activity was attended by the Municipality's different LGU offices led by the Vice-Mayor and its Tourism Office, and other stakeholders

It was a key opportunity that highlights the importance of involving the stakeholders in the foundational stage of the tourism planning process. The Team is set to conduct the Tourism Development Planning Workshop in the coming weeks.

HARAYA remains committed to its core mission of shaping a sustainable future by supporting local government units in developing data-driven, consultative, and implementable development plans that empower communities and strengthen local capacity for long-term progress.
