🌱 NY2? SHB? SUPREMO? WHAT DO THEY ACTUALLY MEAN?

If you're getting into green coffee, you've probably come across these terms on coffee offers and product specifications.

But here's the important part: a grade doesn't tell you everything about the coffee.
🇧🇷 NY2 — A grading designation used in Brazilian coffee, primarily related to allowable defects.

🇬🇹 SHB — Strictly Hard Bean, a classification commonly associated with coffees grown at higher elevations.

🇨🇴 SUPREMO — A Colombian screen-size classification generally referring to larger beans.

So, should you use grade to judge coffee quality?
Not by itself.
The final cup is influenced by the combination of:
