The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 081-2026 prescribing the workaround procedures for claiming the five-year Net Operating Loss Carry-Over (NOLCO) incurred in Taxable Years 2020 and 2021 within the offline eBIRForms Package and Electronic Filing and Payment System (eFPS).

Because the current system's validation only allows NOLCO inputs for the three (3) immediately preceding taxable years, taxpayers are advised to follow a temporary data-entry procedure. This is done by encoding the NOLCO amounts incurred in 2020 and 2021 as Special Allowable Itemized Deductions, indicating the specific NOLCO years being claimed in the description field, and using RA 11494 as the legal basis.

This applies to online sellers, freelancers, professionals, vloggers, influencers, and all individuals earning through digital platforms.

🔒 To protect your privacy, you are no longer required to post your full Certificate of Registration (COR).
Instead, you should only display the BIR Registration Seal Badge generated through ORUS.

📍 Make sure the badge is visible on your:
• Website
• E-commerce platform
• Social media business page

You may place it in sections like “About Us” or “Business Permits.”

𝗕𝗜𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗦 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) warns the public against a FAKE letter falsely using the name of Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza. The spurious document contains supposed BIR guidance on a “full refund agreement” and directs the payment of alleged tax obligations.

The BIR warns that this modus uses FAKE letters, FALSIFIED tax language, and the UNAUTHORIZED use of the Commissioner’s name to pressure recipients into making payments or complying with FRAUDULENT directives.

The public is urged to verify suspicious letters, notices, and directives with the BIR before taking any action, and to report questionable documents or transactions through the Bureau’s official channels.
