• Innovation emerges from 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 to achieve what no individual can alone.
• The 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘅 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, turning frameworks into real, sustained innovation.

The participants were also guided through hands-on, in-class exercises, applying these principles to real organizational scenarios and reflecting on their own teams and leadership styles.

The core insight was clear:

We’re excited to announce our newest collaboration with Haring Manok and Mexita Pizza, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗖).

Haring Manok began during the pandemic and has since grown into a regional powerhouse, with over 40 branches across Bicol. Last November, CIA Bootleg Manila helped bring The Art of One to life at HELM, the Philippines’ first and only two-Michelin-starred restaurant.

Through our brand lab 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗢 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲+𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲, 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗶ñ𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 & 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 for an intimate, multisensory dinner where cuisine, tailoring, and craft converged.

✨ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁

From 2021 to 2023, we partnered with 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻. That journey led to the relaunch of Sophia and the creation of six sub-brands rooted in its name and philosophy: Spark, One, Pinay, Hija, Imprints, and Affirmations.

Today, we’re excited to share that we’re working with Sophia once again, this time on a new and meaningful evolution.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱. From being a sub-brand born out of Sophia’s larger narrative, Spark is now being shaped to stand confidently on its own, with a clearer identity, sharper purpose, and a distinct role in the lives of the women it serves.

We’re grateful to Sophia for the continued trust, and for inviting us back to help shape what comes next.

✍️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁.

The newest Sakura Craft Lab 010 Gel Ink Pen was creatively directed by Sy Chen, Founder of Creative Intelligence Associates and CIA Bootleg Manila’s partner in Japan.

For the past 10 years, Sy has been developing new pen designs in close collaboration with product designer Yu Matsuda and Hikoshiro Nishimura, President of Sakura Cray-Pas, a company established in 1921.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝟬𝟭𝟬'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.

The hammertone finish draws directly from 𝗦𝘆’𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝟯𝟬𝟭 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝗮𝘇𝘇-𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟬𝘀. The crown detail echoes the tactile precision of a Leica dial, blending sound, sight, and touch into a single writing instrument.

🚀 𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

In the recent "Incubating for Innovation" session of the Innovation Camp for Entrepreneurs (ICE), co-offered by Ateneo’s Business Resource Center and CIA Bootleg Manila, the class took on a Bootleg favorite: rapid prototyping. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀.

And they delivered.

🌀 Combrella
A hybrid comb-and-umbrella for those who want perfect hair even in the rain.
The group created a physical mock-up and a digital storyboard that showed how it works in real life.

👟 Self-Walking Shoes
Motorized shoes that walk on their own once programmed.
The team staged a demonstration using a string, a human “engine,” and a performance of being pulled forward by the shoes.

🌙 Dream Recorder
A device that “records” dreams when attached to a sleeping mask so you can watch them when you wake.
Their prototype: a handmade dream box with a scroll-style dream sequence that pulled out like film.

Through this challenge, the participants learned 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹.

🏆 The Dream Recorder team won the vote of the class and the Bootleg team. Each member took home a bottle of Cava to celebrate.

A night of remarkable food, shared stories, and deep gratitude - celebrating another year of creating, innovating, and pushing boundaries together.

We recently designed and delivered WOW AI, 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 for Personal Collection's Expanded Leadership Team (ELT), built to sharpen leadership, accelerate decision-making, and elevate PC’s mission of creating WOW experiences.

No less than PC’s CEO and COO joined the session, underscoring the company’s commitment to AI-powered innovation.

𝗪𝗢𝗪 𝗔𝗜 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗴’𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

Everything was applied, not theoretical: each ELT member used Gen AI to work on their actual strategic priorities across supply chain, HR, marketing, R&D, branch operations, and product development, among others.
