OIDCI Championing Climate-Smart and Sustainable Agriculture

OIDCI is proud to support the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) in promoting climate-smart and cost-efficient farming practices for Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities in Ancestral Domains.

During the Training of Trainers on Climate-Smart Value Chain Development Awareness, OIDCI-SIGLA expert Engr. Gerry Burdas highlighted how adopting organic farming practices can help IP farmers reduce production costs by minimizing dependence on costly fertilizers, pesticides, and transplanting, while improving soil health and ensuring long-term agricultural productivity.

Through knowledge sharing and capacity building, OIDCI remains committed to empowering Indigenous communities with practical, sustainable, and resilient farming approaches that strengthen livelihoods and contribute to inclusive rural development.
