It was in 1984 when Procter & Gamble (P&G) decided to go through a Distributorship Sales Program, a pioneering effort still in its infancy stage. It was then when the chance of a lifetime offer came to this former van salesman (ASM) of Procter & Gamble Products to become one of the company’s first distributors. In line with the P&G redundancy program, this enterprising ex-van salesman, armed with
P&G sales training skills, some savings, and loans he acquired from his parents, started the Right Goods General Merchandise (RGGM) business on his own. This venture started out with a one(1) truck - two(2) man operation based in Karapatan along Dimasalang in Manila, covering the lakeside towns of Rizal. (RGPI) in March 1992. RGPI, the new corporation, was elevated as a key P&G account having a tandem Management group as a support and directional body in July 1992. Today, RGPI is the top distributor of Procter & Gamble in the Philippines and ranks among the top five(5) accounts of P&G in the AAI (Asean, Australia, India) Region. RGPI truly ranks above its peer distributor organization, having garnered thru the years numerous sales and organizational award, the latest of which is the Best In Class in Distributor Management held for three consecutive years (2000 - 2002). RGPI, the classic transformation is still on the road to a much brighter future with its committed business partners.
