An authentic taste of Napoli right at the heart of the metro! The fourth branch of Rossopomodoro PH had opened in BGC and is ready to serve taste savants who appreciate traditional Neapolitan cooking using age-old methods and the finest Italian ingredients!
The core of Rossopomodoro had traversed land and sea to bring Filipinos underrated simplicity of familiar Italian cuisine -- 24-hour fermented pizza doughs, wood fire brick ovens, fresh local produce with Italian imports, 100% buffalo milk mozzarella, and the talent of Italian masters passing on the craft to their Pinoy cooks.
At the opening, we got served some of the bestsellers. The crispy frito misto was a melange of white fish, shrimps, calamari and zucchini served with a zinger sauce. An absolute hit, the truffle pizza with slices of Parma ham and shiitake mushrooms had the perfect leopard spots coming from the long fermented and the intense heat of the woodfire oven. The carbonara made with guanciale had amazingly al dente rigatoni which was the perfect vessel for the creamy sauce to cling on. On a warm afternoon, one cannot pass on an Aperol spritz, right? But if day drinking is not what you fancy, the raspberry iced tea is something to keep you refreshed.
But what's an Italian meal without Tiramisu? But theirs is something different as the lady fingers remained a bit crisp giving the dessert some body for the espresso and mascarpone combination. Pro tip, eat the coffee beans that garnish it for that extra pop of crunch and flavor. And we have to go back and talk about that warm and comforting calda calda, a Nutella filled doughnut made from the same Napolitana dough they make for the pizza.
