WE often get asked if Space iO has plans of opening in Makati or BGC.

While we recognize the opportunities in those business districts, our vision has always been different. Space iO is now home to more than 160+ startups, and our mantra is to expand outside Metro Manila — helping build entrepreneurial communities in emerging cities and provinces.

We believe opportunities should not be limited to Makati or BGC alone. By growing communities outside Metro Manila, we hope to give more people the chance to develop their entrepreneurial skills, launch startups, and create businesses closer to home.

At the same time, we hope to contribute, even in our own small way, to the decongestion of Metro Manila as traffic and parking challenges continue to worsen.

The Phone Booth has been one of the quiet witnesses of the Space iO Community since 2020.

Inside this small space were moments of pressure, disappointment, frustration, hope, joy, laughter, and celebration. It has heard clients cry after losing a deal, raise their voices during difficult Zoom calls, and celebrate victories after finally closing one.

More than just a booth for calls and meetings, it became a silent witness to the everyday realities of building dreams, chasing deadlines, and pushing through challenges.

Regardless of its size, this small corner of Space iO has carried countless stories of people determined to move forward and finish their goals at the end of the day.

ONE of the most popular and consistently running workshops at Space iO since September 16, 2023 is the Basic Resin Workshop by Ms. Marielett Dionisio. ✨

Through her craft, participants have learned the art of making keychains, coasters, and other creations using epoxy resin. Over the years, the workshop has welcomed lawyers, entrepreneurs, government employees, auditors, teachers, students, and even a nun.

For many, it became a temporary break from stressful work. For others, a hobby that eventually turned into a small venture. 🎨💡

𝗕𝗜𝗥 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘 & 𝗧𝗔𝗫 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The BIR has issued RMC No. 47-2026, introducing a faster and simpler process for business closure and cancellation of tax registration under the “Ease of Paying Taxes Act.”

Key highlights:
▫️Fewer documentary requirements
▫️Applications may be filed manually or electronically
▫️Penalties for non-filing stop accruing once complete requirements are submitted
▫️Micro taxpayers are no longer subject to mandatory audit for closure
▫️Tax Clearance may now be released within three (3) working days for qualified taxpayers

This is part of the government’s push to make doing — and even closing — business easier and more efficient.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗼. 𝟬𝟴, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 regarding the 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 (𝗔𝗘𝗥𝗪).

All private establishments are required to submit an annual report containing the verified itemized listing of their labor component and corresponding salaries/wages.
