An invitation to undergraduate students
The College of Arts and Sciences, University of the Philippines Manila, together with its conference partners, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Interconnected Futures Student Access and Participation Fund, which will sponsor 50 qualified undergraduate students to participate in the three-day IKSP 2026 International Conference.
We particularly encourage undergraduate students preparing to present their research papers, undergraduate theses, or community-based studies to apply for this sponsorship.
We recognize that many capable and promising students face financial limitations that prevent them from participating in international academic conferences. Through this initiative, we hope to make academic opportunities more inclusive and ensure that financial constraints do not prevent deserving students from sharing their research, learning from experts, and engaging in meaningful scholarly discussions.
What will the sponsorship cover?
Subject to the approved sponsorship arrangements, the partner organizers will provide financial support for:
* Conference registration fees for all three days;
* Transportation and travel-related expenses;
* Meals during conference participation;
* Conference and learning materials; and
* Other necessary and approved participation expenses.
Opportunities for sponsored students
Selected students will have the opportunity to present their research papers and community-based work and participate in the
Young Scholars and Students Research Forum, engage with Indigenous knowledge holders and local communities, and learn from specialists across the health, environmental, social, and natural sciences.
They will also have opportunities to build academic networks, contribute to conference recommendations, and explore future research and community-engagement collaborations.
Who may apply?
The sponsorship is intended for undergraduate students who demonstrate academic interest, research potential, and financial need. Priority consideration will be given to students presenting papers and to those who would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial constraints.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare their research title and abstract, proof of current enrollment, and a brief statement explaining their interest in the conference and need for financial assistance. Final application requirements and selection procedures will be announced by the organizers.
