The IRD Interdisciplinary Research and Development is a consultancy group that was established in the Philippines in 2020. Its primary objective is collaborating with various groups and communities in the Asia-Pacific region to promote research and development initiatives. The organization comprises experts in various fields, including archaeology, anthropology, history, behavioral sciences, foren
sics, and sociology. The IRD team conducts thorough evaluations in affected communities, utilizing Social Impact Assessments (SIA), Archaeological Impact Assessments (AIA), and Cultural Heritage Impact Assessments (CHIA) to ensure comprehensive analysis. IRD firmly upholds democratic pluralism, cultural diversity, integrity, competence, ethics, transparency, and trustworthiness in all of its activities. The framework is founded on the following core principles:
empowering individuals and communities by actively involving them in decision-making processes;
embracing inclusivity by valuing diverse abilities and contributions of individuals and communities in development processes;
conserving cultural heritage (both tangible and intangible); and
being adaptable and responsible in achieving its goals.
