📢 AFFIRM Presents Study Findings on Teacher Specialization and Subject-Taught Mismatch

AFFIRM Center for Research and Professional Learning Inc. recently presented the findings of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2) - Study on Teacher Specialization and Subject-Taught Mismatch to the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).

This study explores how teacher specialization impacts instructional effectiveness and how subject mismatches affect student performance. Using survey data, student examination results, teachers' lived experiences, and relevant literature, AFFIRM researchers provided insights into the prevalence of teacher assignment misalignment, its policy implications, and potential solutions.
