I think one of the biggest mistakes we make with AI is expecting too much from it.

Parang once we have the right tool, solved na lahat.

But AI was never meant to replace the work of thinking, understanding the problem, and making good decisions.

It can help.
It can support.

Pero hindi siya magic pill.

The better we understand what AI can and cannot do, the better we can actually work with it.

Sometimes we rush toward solutions because action feels productive.

But moving quickly on the wrong problem only creates more work.

Take time to understand the context, the people involved, and what’s really happening beneath the surface.

Clarity may slow you down at first.

But it often helps you move better afterward.

AI can help you finish the report faster.

But when someone asks, “Why did you recommend this” or “How did you arrive at that conclusion?”

Ikaw pa rin ang kailangan sumagot.

Use AI to organize your thoughts, explore ideas, and work more efficiently.

But don’t outsource the thinking that helps you build your judgement, understanding and confidence.

Because in the real world, hindi lang output ang tinitignan. You also need to understand the work you put your name on.

Use AI but make sure you can think without it, too.

Because you can’t fool everyone all the time.

Build the confidence, yes.

But make sure you have the competence to back it up.

Answers are becoming easier to find.

Isang search lang.
Isang prompt lang.
Minsan, seconds lang may sagot ka na.

Pero that makes thinking even more important.

Kasi hindi naman lahat ng sagot kailangan paniwalaan.
Hindi lahat ng information useful.
At hindi lahat ng mabilis na decision, magandang decision.

The advantage now isn't simply knowing more.

It's knowing how to question, connect, evaluate, and decide well.

Habang mas accessible ang information, mas nagiging valuable ang taong marunong talagang mag-isip.

Over the years, I’ve seen both play important roles.

A degree can reflect discipline, structure, and the ability to learn deeply over time.

Demonstrated capability, on the other hand, shows how someone applies what they know in real situations, under real constraints.

As industries evolve more quickly, the balance between the two seems to be shifting.

But it’s not always a simple choice.

In many cases, organizations are trying to reconcile both.

I’m interested to hear how you’re seeing this in your context.

When hiring or evaluating talent today, which tends to carry more weight?

Sometimes, you need to pause, understand the context, and ask better questions first.

Kasi kapag emotions ang nauuna sa understanding, mas madaling gumawa ng decision na pagsisisihan mo later.

Always have a thought process behind your actions.

May mga tools tayong sobrang effective at first, so we keep using it.

Pero...

Our challenges change.
Our teams change.
Our needs change.

So the tools we use should be something we’re willing to reassess too.

Adaptability isn’t just about adopting new technology.
It’s knowing when the solution that worked before no longer fits the problem today.

What worked before deserves our respect but not always our loyalty.

As our challenges change, the way we think, lead, and respond should evolve too.

Adaptability isn’t about changing for the sake of change.

It’s having the awareness to ask:

“Does this still work for where we are now?”

Sometimes growth means improving what already works.

And sometimes, it means having the courage to rethink it.
