Agafer Creatives has been commissioned by the Start Network to conduct an Impact Assessment which will strive to identify the relevance, efficiency, and sustainability of the organization’s Disaster Risk Financing (DRF) model in terms of increasing the climate and disaster resiliency of households who were affected by Typhoon Egay (Doksuri).

To facilitate the start of the engagement, an Inception Meeting was conducted last November 30, 2023. The Inception Meeting served as an avenue between Agafer Creatives and the Start Network Team to level off and set expectations regarding the conduct of the Impact Assessment exercise. Agafer Creatives, led by EnP. Pia May Agatep, also presented the methodology and framework of analysis that will be used to carry out the study.

The results of the Impact Assessment will inform the Start Network on what pathways to take in terms of enhancing the current DRF model in order to provide services that are more responsive to the needs of the vulnerable population.
