🚀 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗜 🚀

The Professional Engineering Training Division (PETD) of the UP National Engineering Center is excited to introduce its newest training course under the Data Science and Analytics Certification Program, titled Module I: Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs).

In this ninth module, participants will learn about the foundations, design, and development of Large Language Model and Agentic AI applications using Python and leading open-source technologies, including LangChain, LangGraph, Ollama, Sentence Transformers, vector databases, and locally hosted models. They will build progressively from structured information extraction and local organizational knowledge assistants to tool-using agents, stateful multi-agent workflows, human approval mechanisms, and security guardrails.

📅 Training Dates: November 9–10 & 16–17, 2026 (Mondays & Tuesdays)
📍 Modality & Venue: Face-to-Face at UP NEC (Juinio Hall), UP Diliman, Quezon City
🏷️ Training Fee: PHP 18,000.00 (covers training presentations and references, training materials, snacks and lunch, venue, and certificate).

📒 Course Prerequisites:
1) Must have taken formal courses on Modern Machine Learning (UP NEC Module D: Predictive Analytics - Machine Learning Module or equivalent).
2) Must have taken basic or intermediate Python programming (UP NEC Module H: Python for Data Science and Analytics or equivalent).

💻 Required Laptop Specifications:
1) At least an 8-core processor
2) 24-32 GB of RAM or unified memory
3) Minimum 80 GB of free SSD storage
4) For Windows/Linux OS: Optionally includes an NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM
5) For Mac: Preferably uses an M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer Apple Silicon processor with at least 24 GB of unified memory.

💡 Laptops that meet only the minimum requirements may still complete the exercises but could experience slower model loading, response generation, and evaluation runs.

ANOTHER ACHIEVEMENT IN MY DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS JOURNEY!

Now on the sixth month of learning at the University of the Philippines (UP), I have successfully completed Forecasting and Time Series Analysis (Module F) of the Data Science and Analytics Certification Program at the University of the Philippines - National Engineering Center in Diliman, Quezon City.

This course strengthened my understanding of the different forecasting and time series analysis methodologies, including forecasting algorithms, smoothing and decomposition models, forecast accuracy and monitoring, and ARIMA models.

Completing every module alongside with classmates, most of whom are young professionals about the same age as Shai and Kim, proves to me that age is not a hindrance to learning. Instead, it is an opportunity to acquire new knowledge, embrace new challenges, and continue growing.

I am committed to finish two more modules until November of this year.
