77-year-old retired teacher Sharon Lane from California has chosen a life most people only dream of living full-time on a cruise ship for the next 15 years!

After retiring from teaching foreign languages, Sharon realized that living in California was becoming too expensive.

So instead of moving into a retirement home, she made a bold choice, she sold everything and bought a cabin on the Villa Vie Odyssey, the world’s first long-term residential cruise ship.

This ship sails around the world continuously, visiting hundreds of destinations every year.

Sharon says it’s not just about travel, it’s about freedom, new friendships, and seeing the world while staying within budget. Surprisingly, the cost of living on the ship (around $3,000 per month including meals, Wi-Fi, and utilities) is cheaper than living in many parts of the U.S.!
