Exhibiting Rizal's famous delicacies, Paulino's Cassava Cake of Paulino's Kakanin Store joined the Provincial Agbiliwa Trade Fair 2023 held in Municipal Compound, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), April 26 - May 1.

The 6-day event was attended by twenty-five (25) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the province. Most of them are newly developed and leveled-up MSMEs with the aid of continuous intervention from the Negosyo Center of Abra de Ilog, Mamburao, Santa Cruz, Sablayan, Rizal and Magsaysay.

Moreover, the Provincial Agbiliwa Trade Fair 2023 is an avenue for MSME to showcase the municipalities' products and delicacies.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

In view of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution No.136-2023 dated 20 April 2023 declaring a State of Calamity (SOC) in the Province of Occidental Mindoro except for the Municipalities of Looc and Lubang due to a Power Crisis, and pursuant to Section 6 of RA 7581 or the Price Act as amended, the prices of basic necessities (listed below) are automatically frozen at their prevailing prices effective for the duration of the condition that brought about it but not more than 60 days.

List of basic necessities per RA 7581 as amended by RA 10623, under DTI's jurisdiction:
1. Canned fish and other marine products
2. Processed milk (evaporated, condensed, and powdered milk)
3. Coffee
4. Laundry/ detergent soap
5. Candles
6. Bread (tasty and pandesal)
7. Iodized salt
8. Instant Noodles
9. Bottled Water

Violators will suffer the penalty of imprisonment for a period of 1 year to 10 years, or a fine ranging from Php5,000.00 to Php1,000,000.00 or both, at the discretion of the court aside from the applicable administrative penalties.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - MIMAROPA will conduct intensified price and supply monitoring of basic necessities under the Department's jurisdiction.
