From Mindoro to Dagupan: Renewing Our Aquaculture Partnership

The AGRITEKTURA team reconnected with its long-time partner, the BFAR National Fisheries Development Center (NFDC) in Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City, to continue its work under the Molobicus Tilapia Program.

AGRITEKTURA has been a registered NFDC Satellite Hatchery since 2016. The program continues under the leadership of Molobicus Tilapia Team Leader Ms. Angelica Cancillar, including regular support for Molobicus tilapia breeder fingerling supply.

The visit also opened an opportunity to explore freshwater prawn production through the Aurum Freshwater Prawn Hatchery.

We were honored to pay our respects to our mentor, Dr. Westly Rosario, former NFDC Center Chief and Chair of the PRC Board of Fisheries.

From Mindoro to the Nation: AGRITEKTURA Connects with Industry Partners at IMPACTNXT

AGRITEKTURA represented by the its Prime Mover & Lead Agritect, Ptr. | Ar. Ran Quijano, was invited to the IMPACTNXT Industry Mixer as an industry partner through its partnership with Mindoro State University (MinSU), joining universities and industry representatives from across the Philippines.

The mixer, part of the KTTO-IMPACT Learning and Preparatory Program for Technology Transfer of HEIRIT universities, creates opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and explore how research and innovation can move toward practical application.

Through its partnership with MinSU, AGRITEKTURA looks forward to building collaborations with state universities and colleges and industry partners nationwide—linking research, technology, skills, and community needs to help turn promising ideas into solutions with real-world impact.

AGRITEKTURA has been invited to share its innovation journey as a speaker at the IP for Agri 4.0 Philippine Summit 2026, convened by WIPO, IPOPHL, and AIM-Dado Banatao Incubator. On November 23, we’ll share how our work connects agritecture innovation, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property.

We’ve also been selected to join the Sustainable Tourism Train-the-Trainers Course of the Department of Tourism from October 26–29. An opportunity to strengthen our capacity to connect sustainable tourism with rural development and community enterprise.

AGRITEKTURA Academy, Inc. is partnering with Mindoro State University to connect fisheries education with real industry practice. Signed October 16 at MinSU Calapan Campus, the MOA opens pathways for technical training, industry immersion, research, and skills development in fisheries and emerging aquaculture technologies.

Through this partnership, AGRITEKTURA brings its industry experience and innovation to help prepare learners for the evolving aquaculture sector and advance sustainable fisheries in Mindoro.

AGRITEKTURA joins Mindoro State University (MinSU) i-BIBES as its industry partner at the UP KTTO–IMPACT NXT Industry Mixer.

We bring the realities of agriculture and aquaculture into the innovation space connecting research with the needs of farmers, communities, and the industries ready to put new ideas to work.

This is how we move innovation forward: when knowledge meets experience, partnership becomes progress, and ideas create impact.

FORGING THE NEXT FRONTIER OF FISHERIES

A stronger future for fisheries is built through collaboration. Connecting education, industry, innovation, and the communities that depend on the sector.

AGRITEKTURA™ and Mindoro State University (MinSU) have entered into their second Memorandum of Agreement, this time with the MinSU School of Fisheries. It is AGRITEKTURA’s first MOA with the School, building on the earlier partnership with Minsu i-BIBES (Innovative Business Incubator for Biosystems Solutions).

This growing partnership opens another avenue for shared work in fisheries and aquaculture bringing academic knowledge closer to industry practice, supporting skills development, and encouraging solutions shaped by the needs of local communities.

For AGRITEKTURA, collaboration with MinSU is part of a wider commitment to build systems that create opportunities: preparing learners, strengthening the fisheries sector, and helping turn ideas into practical, community-centered impact.

From i-BIBES to the School of Fisheries, the partnership continues to grow. Together, we are forging the next frontier of fisheries. One built on knowledge, innovation, and shared purpose.

HIVE Creative Hub: A Vision for Shared Innovation

What if creative minds had a shared space to imagine, design, prototype, and build solutions together?

Introducing the vision for HIVE — the Hub for Innovation, Venture & Exploration at The CRIB HUB in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. Developed in collaboration with DTI Oriental Mindoro as a Shared Service Facility initiative, HIVE is envisioned as a place where people can create, learn, make, move, and connect.

This vision builds on AGRITEKTURA’s early technology prototypes, developed with initial support from DOST. Looking ahead, we hope to work with TESDA on a new course aligned with HIVE’s creative and innovation capabilities.

AGRITEKTURA™ at TESDA MIMAROPA Gabi ng Parangal

AGRITEKTURA™ was recognized for its contribution to TESDA’s Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET), which connects skills training with real workplace and industry needs. AGRITEKTURA™ is one of pioneering batch of TESDA MIMAROPA EBET Program specializing in aquaculture culture and smart & sustainable systems.

AGRITEKTURA delivers the Aquaculture (Tilapia Culture) National Certificate II, the first program of its kind in MIMAROPA and one of only two offerings in the Philippines. It also developed the Smart Aquaculture Operations, Maintenance and Management micro-credential, the first of its kind in the country.

Through hands-on training in a working aquaculture environment, learners build practical skills in production and smart aquaculture systems, while developing pathways toward employment and enterprise.

Ptr. | Ar. Francis Neil B. Quijano represented AGRITEKTURA at the event in his capacity as Chair of the Regional Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (RTESDC). This recognition affirms AGRITEKTURA’s commitment to working with TESDA and industry partners to expand relevant training opportunities and support community development.
