📌 Look! One of the main goals of the Department and Industry is to assist the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs including communities in the countryside to develop products that would generate income and eventually uplift their standard of living. One of the identified strategies is to equip them with knowledge and skills in the field of business through the conduct of training and advocacy to micro and start-up entrepreneurs.
Coconut based product was one of the best alternative livelihood activities in San Antonio, to overcome life’s challenges and transforming communities through alternative livelihood to get out poverty through sustainable livelihood packages which are environmentally friendly and to give an opportunity of generating income aside from farming, and at the same time, utilize the coconut in the area.

In regard to this, Negosyo Center San Antonio is proposing to conduct a Technology Transfer Training on Buko Pie Production and Entrepreneurial Mind Setting and Product Costing and Pricing Seminar to DALIRUHAN FOOD PRODUCTS ASSOCIATION members in Barangay Dalupirit, San Antonio, Northern Samar. The proponent envisions a wider market for this product and eventually be able to introduce Buko Pie to the Beaches, tourists and to mainland municipalities, these can help the beneficiaries to have an additional higher income and giving them hope to constructively contribute to their communities and also to support the development of the priority industry in the province, particularly the Coconut Industry

The Department of Trade and Industry, as the lead agency in promoting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has its strategies on how to achieve its vision “A more inclusive and prosperous Philippines with employment and income opportunities for all.” Under the present DTI administration, Industry Clustering is one of the strategy devised to achieve this goal.

Negosyo Center-San Antonio Successfully conducted a technology transfer training on Horn Snail (Subiran) Kropeck in Barangay Ward 1 San Antonio Northern Samar on October 17-20,2022

San Antonio Northern Samar is abundant of Horn Snail or famously known as “Subiran” in the Island Municipality. One of the areas producing plentiful and highly abundant “Subiran” is Brgy. Ward 1 Sitio Lagbangan San Antonio, Northern Samar, and it is consumed as foods by the locals. The proponent envisions a wider market for this product and eventually be able to introduce “Subiran” to the rest of the Philippines. This will also target to represent the Municipality for the One Town, One Product Philippines as government’s customized intervention to drive inclusive local economic growth.

📌 Look! The Department of Trade and Industry thru Negosyo Center San Antonio successfully Conducted a Training on Nito Handicraft Making in Barangay Rizal San Antonio Northern Samar on September 13,14,15 and 16,2022. The Department of Trade and Industry aims to assist the MSMEs including the Country-side to develop products that would generate income Ang eventually will uplift their standard of living.

One of the identified strategies is to equip them with knowledge and skills in the field of business through the conduct of Training and advocacies to Micro and Start-up Entrepreneurs.

📌Brgy. Rizal is abundant in Nito..it is a forest vine which they use to weave the traditional Baskets, hats, trays, plates and jars of different shapes and sizes. Their creations have also evolved to various modern ornaments and Fashionable Accessories.
