A Message from the Kapampangan Cake Festival Committee ❤️
Our hearts are with our fellow Kapampangan bakers who are currently going through difficult times because of the continuous heavy rains affecting many parts of Pampanga.
We know how many of you have been looking forward to the Kapampangan Cake Festival. We know the time, effort, resources, and love you have already poured into preparing for this celebration.
But right now, we understand that many of our fellow bakers have more important things to attend to... your homes, your families, your businesses, and your livelihoods.
And we want you to know that we see you, we understand you, and we value you.
Even some members of the committee are personally affected by the current situation. We, too, are facing challenges, and we understand firsthand how difficult it is to prepare for a celebration when our hearts and minds are also with our families and communities.
Because of this, the committee has made the heartfelt decision to move the Kapampangan Cake Festival to OCTOBER.
This decision was not made lightly. We simply want to give everyone, our fellow bakers and even our committee members, the time to recover, regroup, and regain their footing.
We don't want anyone to feel that they have to choose between taking care of their livelihood and being part of this celebration.
This festival is not just about cakes. It is about YOU.
It is about our community, our passion, our talent, and the people who make the Kapampangan baking community truly special.
We may have to wait a little longer, but we believe that when the time comes, it will make our celebration even more meaningful.
We want to see you there, not worried about what you left behind, not struggling to make things work, but finally able to enjoy the moment, celebrate your craft, and celebrate one another.
So, for now, please take care of yourselves, your families, and your livelihoods.
We’ll take care of the rest.
