Cucco Manila "Storm" Contest 2021 entry
Title of artwork: A certain end to uncertainty
Description:
Life, they say, is not always sunny. Storms are surely inevitable as there is no such thing as a flood-free life. But if there's one thing that can be guaranteed, it is that struggles are not and will never be permanent. Like the grains of sand in an hourglass, our situation will always come to an end. The time it will take might be uncertain, but it will always eventually pass.
As what my piece illustrates, experiencing storms in life can make us anxious or stressed out, but through it, we gain learnings that can help us grow as individuals. This piece embodies colors such as red and orange on top, which symbolizes strength and endurance. Also, there are two beautiful butterflies flying around the piece which serves as a great reminder, that once we may be on the ground, but in time we will shine as beautiful and fly as high as ever as these butterflies do.
