All cooperatives, regardless of types and categories are mandated to comply with the provision under Section 5, Rule 7 of the Revised IRR of RA 9520 regarding the Training Requirements for the Officers of the Cooperative.
It has been noticed since the implementation of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 9520 since 2015 up to date, that some cooperatives are still non-compliant with the training required for their officers based on the submitted reports for FY 2021.
In view thereof, this office shall strictly implement the provision of the law and shall NOT issue a Certificate of Compliance (COC) to those Non-Compliant cooperatives unless it will provide proof of their compliance. Provided, that such compliance is within the deadline set by the authority otherwise, a monetary penalty of One Hundred Pesos (Php100.00) will be imposed per day of delay after the deadline.
