Everything has an ending. Sadness and even happiness. At time it is tiring to always push yourself to just move on. It is not always easy to dismiss what you know will just destroy you or to just disregard how bad you feel over certain things. Sometimes you just have to soak it in. You have to embrace both and acknowledge that at the height of a winning streak you may still hit the bottom. Sometimes in your lowest, a window may open to embrace you as you are welcomed to another chapter towards better things.

It is never easy. Sometimes you just have to let it be.

The trouble with procrastination.

There are days that we cannot simply keep up with the numerous demands at work then add other responsibilities that you have to attend to including your family business, you as a momma, and as a wife.

While it is best to keep a to do list, it has to come with the responsibility of you finishing the tasks listed. We must make it in a way that what goes at item #1 should be the top priority and so on. I personally do not believe in prioritizing the easy tasks so you will have more time to a lot for the harder ones. It is actually deciding on which should be done first or the most urgent that needs to be submitted to your client. Also not to let our emotions decide on which ones to go first, or which ones we feel like making first. Follow the list according to priority, this is where responsibility comes in.

If the tasks at hand are far too many in a day, sometimes we decide to just shift it to tomorrow’s list not minding that tomorrow is going to be another day of to do. Shifting one or two items will add up to the next day's work and will have an effect in general. Parts of the consequences may be to cram for some items.

Once the task begins to pile up, we tend to hurry and make an output timebound not of quality. We depend on counting the time allotted per item and not to dedicate enough time for its completion. Quality suffers and we tend to multi-task which will eventually create another concern.

With all these, the emotional and psychological stress will have a long term effect as well. Procrastination leads to work done double time, with lots of concerns and we must also admit the fear of not making it is the biggest toll of all. We are actually terrorizing ourselves when in fact we can budget our working time to things that should be done and things that should merit first attention.

It is best to relax once we have accomplished our tasks, not because we chose to lounge around while we still have things to do.

KEEP YOU HELPLINES OPEN

One of the many advantages of having a social media account is getting involved in groups or forums. Usually we get into a group and be members of a community that share the same passion, hobbies, business or some consider it as a good source of help. May it be from cooking specialties, to gadget reviews, to school related talks and work generated discussions. The way I see it, a group or social media community becomes harmonious and productive if its members are open to be helplines.

BE KIND
There are members who will still ask questions even if the facts are already posted. There are a few who will always resort to posting inquiries and ask other members for answers that they should learn, study or research themselves. A few may see these types of people as lazy and sometimes they are discredited for asking. For me, there is always a better way of saying things even if the truth of your statement may hurt the other person. The basics of being kind makes way to a clearer conversation.

Examples: I think it is best if you look through Google for your inquiry or I think Google may have the best answer.

Always remember that others may go through a rough patch but still need to attend and finish a task and your open helpline may be the answer to the loss of their thoughts. There are obvious questions, but rather stating the point just rest it off and try to not respond instead. There are others who just need to vent and put it on the groups, a little breather for some or maybe they are just looking for somebody to talk to or share opinions with.

RESPOND and COMMENT
Be as responsive as you can. Give comments and suggestions to people who may be struggling. After all you may be saving that person tons of stress. What may appear easy for us might be too much of a cause for others. Our experiences are a great source of help for ideas for people who have not encountered such. Like a product reaction or a glitch on a specific gadget or somebody seeking for a product suggestion of a certain need. Us being responsive and being active in communicating gives off a lot in the community and says a lot about us as a person.

DO NOT BE RUDE
This is certainly unavoidable. But always remember it is better not to engage than getting yourself into trouble of giving too much emotion over things that can be agreed upon that are arguable. It is always better to choose the more positive response than to enter into a rude exchange. Lastly, if in case you cannot hold it anymore, just think of it as, it may not be deserving of your time since the person on the other end might be a stranger or you just can’t simply see him or her in person after all. Save yourself from the negativity.

KEEP YOUR LINES OPEN
It is not only that you maybe on the end who needs help. Keeping your helplines open simply makes a community good and its members grow further and everyone moves towards success and growth. We must always go back to our very reason for joining; to be educated, to get to know more about things, to share ideas and experiences, and to have a good source of support from people who share the same interest.

I searched for FVA Academy.

I long wanted to have an extra job, was opting and searched for part time work since I have off seasons from my regular day job and I needed the extra income. I would always encounter the word Virtual Assistant (VA) , but the descriptions of people that they need don't fit my technical competencies. I have this assumption that a secretarial classification will pass as a VA, unfortunately not. From then I would search on how to become one, and since I do not have Facebook at that time my information is limited to what appears on my Google news and Jobsites. The schools or online tutorials that I have visited are all expensive and I feel alienated as soon as they respond to my initial inquiry.

One day I encountered my officemate, Coco Dizon’s post of her Freelancing Course certificate, I asked her right away and inquired on the site that she gave me. FVAConsultancy. It was my very supportive brother who inquired for me then. Coach Grace Locsin replied right away and I hurriedly enrolled on the same course as Coco, the Freelancing Course. That time I availed of the early bird promo, the original low course price was lowered more to the early bird promo. Imagine that big discount! All the more that I pushed to get in as an early bird. I chose FC from Coco’s suggestion that it gives the basics for all the other courses, then I planned to enroll in other courses after, to further my knowledge on a chosen niche.

Coach Grace is really kind and hands down on how selfless they are in giving their know hows to everybody in the course. They would readily be available to answer inquiries and comments on every portfolio and in our batches FB group. All these while a pandemic is happening and our batch was the biggest that they’ve handled at that time.

I attended all the live sessions. And like a kid would happily listen to Coach Grace’s encouragement. I would look forward to the Bible verses every after video tutorial. Everything on the course was taught step by step. Even the how to’s in doing the portfolios.

I have not finished my portfolios yet, still got to put in more hard work and intelligently finish all. I remember I got an email from Coach asking how I was doing, since I have a long backlog for submission. I told her I am going to get up and work on it, doubletime. I appreciate the gesture so much, and finds it very personal. I have a regular day job before Covid happens, hardly I would get checked by my bosses because they would always assume that I am okay. And with Coach asking for my stature, my morale was boosted to go on and finish the task. This comes with the constant reminder via email that I can easily reach her if I need any help on the task.

I will certainly enroll in more courses after I finish my freelancing course. FVA is also a big help to update my knowledge on things powered by the internet and new tools that can make my VA or Social Media Manager journey full of capabilities. Glad to enter the FVAAcademy and be part of their family.

I see the next few years full of wins despite major setbacks and struggles. We will open a small eatery early 2021. I will venture into two more small businesses. We will have our own home in 3 years. With the recovery of the Earth from Covid19, we will travel and tick off different countries from my daughter’s destination wish list. With sheer determination, focus and hard work I know I can with dedication to my set timeline.

DRAW A TIMELINE. It is a must to have a timeline of set goals and dreams to look forward to, being the boss of our destiny. It is not just to plainly claim our rewards from the hard work but these dreams would simply serve as best inspiration to keep going and persevere more. This will help us in maintaining our pace as we work hard towards our goals, it is really important to carefully think of this timeline because nobody would know better what we need, what we want and what would make us happy and content. It is best if we keep our dreams ACHIEVABLE, this will do us away from what is impossible or extravagant aspirations that may cause burn outs than success. It is said to have big dreams, but it is also said that dreaming big entails social responsibility, personal capabilities and self respect. Certainly we need to have that extra push always, not only to be better but to be the best all the time. There is a thin line between dreaming and daydreaming. Make sure that apart from our dreams being big and achievable, that it is also LIVEABLE. List down personal aspirations, and consider the things that we can maintain along the way, not only that we want and need now but it has a long term effect in our lives and the holistic improvements that it will bring.. Liveable in such a way that we will still get to enjoy the improvements that achieving our dreams bring. DREAM BIG DREAMS. It is said that the best things in life are free, well for me dreaming is free but to make them into reality needs hard work and determination and a whole lot of pack of being a good person and the right attitude to reach success. KEEP YOUR FAITH and BOOST to the FULLEST. I cannot own everything without the Lord’s grace and guidance. I pray harder each time and I lift up to Him my worries. I learned to have a closer relationship with Him by having a personal time each day just raising my gratefulness.
