Veteran actor John Arcilla poured his heart out in an emotional message after seeing a video involving Axle, a clip he admitted he could not even finish watching.
John shared that the sound of Axle’s cries was simply too painful to bear. The raw wailing full of fear and agony, like that of a helpless child immediately broke him. Tears fell, and he found himself sobbing uncontrollably.
For John, the video was not just disturbing it was haunting. It left him questioning humanity itself and the kind of mindset that allows such cruelty to exist in this day and age.
He expressed disbelief that there are still people who think and act in ways he compared to cavemen violent, primitive, and devoid of compassion.
What disturbed him even more was the sheer brutality shown toward someone who appeared innocent, defenseless, and gentle someone who wasn’t fighting back or trying to escape.
John also questioned the silence of the crowd. In a moment when intervention could have made a difference, no one stepped in. No one even turned their head to stop the violence as Axle was being repeatedly struck.
The emotional weight of what he witnessed followed him long after. He shared that he struggled to sleep, his mind unable to rest after seeing such injustice.
“Nahirapan akong matulog.”
Through his message, John Arcilla stood in solidarity with Axle, lending his voice to the growing call for accountability and compassion, ending his statement with a strong plea for justice.
