Advisory to All LPG Consumers/Retailers 📢📢

All businesses that sell LPG(butane or mixed of butane and propane) must secure a License to Operate. There is no minimum exemption; however, there is a maximum limit of kg of LPG allowed in the showroom for retailers, whether they are pure retailers or those with general merchandise. The maximum allowed kg in the showroom (any cylinder or cartrige sizes with total aggregate filled LPG) is as follows: for Retailers with General Merchandise: 110 kg; and for Pure Retailers: 350 kg. Any excess must be stored in BFP-approved storage.

Any business selling LPG without a DOE License to Operate must be reported to the LGU Business Permit Licensing Office and DOE-Mindanao for violating DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-008 and DOE DC 2022-11-0037.

Another win for the Local Government Unit of Socorro, Surigao del Norte! 🎉

We are proud to announce the receipt of the eLGU Plaque of Recognition at the DICT eLGU Awards!

This plaque is a grateful recognition of Socorro as one of the "OPERATIONAL LGUs" in the successful implementation of the electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System in the Caraga Region.

This honor highlights our commitment to digital governance and improved public service.

We especially want to acknowledge and thank our dedicated BPLO (Business Permits and Licensing Officer) and the invaluable DICT Technician who worked tirelessly with us! Your expertise and commitment were crucial to successfully implementing the eLGU system and achieving this recognition.
