FUTILITY OF CAUSE AND EFFECT ANALYSIS
"In a complex system, the INPUTS vary all the time, and PROCESSES varies all the time, so the OUTPUTS also varies. If a process expert is engaged to analyze a complex system, he will come up with a different cause and effect model every time he looks into the system. The cause and effect relationship may be discovered in retrospect, but it cannot be replicated. The moment an attempt is made to replicate the inputs and the processes, different outputs result."
