Suspect in Shooting That Killed Two Women Arrested in Hot Pursuit Operation in Tabaco City

Tabaco City, Albay - October 30, 2025 — After an intense hot pursuit operation, personnel of the Tabaco City Police Station led by PLtCol Edmundo A. Cerillo Jr., Chief of Police, together with the RSOU5 Team–Albay, successfully arrested the suspect in the shooting incident that claimed the lives of two women in Barangay San Roque, Tabaco City.

According to Cerillo, the 43-year-old suspect, a resident of the same barangay, was tracked down and arrested at around 6:45 p.m. on October 29, 2025, just a few hours after the crime. He was found hiding on the second floor of a nearby house close to the area where he allegedly shot the two female victims—aged 35 and 30—at close range on Tuesday night in Purok 4 of the said barangay.

Cerillo said a recovery operation is ongoing to locate the firearm used in the shooting, which the suspect reportedly disposed of after committing the crime. Meanwhile, a thorough investigation is being conducted to determine the motive behind the killing.

He also announced that the Tabaco City Police Station will hold a press conference at 9:30 a.m. today at the station’s conference hall to address questions from the media regarding the incident.
