EVER KNOWN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TYPEFACE AND FONT?

Here is a simple infographic for you!

Well, a font can't exist without a typeface. It's like the typeface is the only (single) parent of all its fonts.

Let's take Gilroy as an example. Gilroy is a sans serif typeface that has a whole collection of fonts - and all of these fonts vary in weights (1pt, 2pt, etc.), style and size (regular, bold, italicized, etc.) and different levels of condensation.

Admittedly, we interchange it MOST of the time. Even me!

So I guess, starting now, we should call all the ✨fonts✨ that we install from the web as ✨typeface✨. Maybe it can make us look intelligent designers. Just maybe.
