Congratulations to The Bean District's heart and soul, Ms. Rhona Mae Yu, for earning two remarkable internationally recognized professional coffee credentials:
- 𝗖𝗤𝗜 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹

Both require intensive training, technical knowledge, hands-on skills, sensory ability, and rigorous assessments. The CQI Canephora Professional focuses on understanding and controlling coffee quality during post-harvest processing, while the SCA Q Arabica Grader focuses on professionally evaluating coffee through sensory analysis and standardized quality assessment.

One focuses on how coffee quality is developed, while the other focuses on how that quality is evaluated in the cup. Together, they represent a deeper understanding of the coffee journey. From coffee cherry, processing, and green bean to the final cup.

☕️ 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟬𝟭 & 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 – 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🎨✨

We had the privilege of hosting another successful Barista Training 101 & Basic Latte Art Workshop. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and dedicated their time to learning, practicing, and improving their coffee-making skills.

Throughout the workshop, participants received hands-on training covering the fundamentals of espresso machine operation, espresso calibration, recipe consistency, proper milk steaming and texturing, basic latte art techniques, and daily machine care. More importantly, they gained practical knowledge and confidence that they can apply in their cafés and future coffee careers.

Thank you Tamper Coffee & Brunch Panglao, for welcoming us. And hosting the event. Thank Curve Coffee Collaborators Cebu, and to thank you to everyone who trusted us to be part of your coffee journey. We look forward to seeing you in our future workshops as we continue to help build better baristas and stronger coffee communities, one cup at a time.
