Before improving a process, teams need a shared understanding of how the work actually flows.

On August 24, Something Somewhere Consulting conducted a SIPOC Diagramming Workshop with Metal Exponents, Inc., helping the team strengthen their understanding of how business processes can be mapped through 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀.

The session focused on building a clearer view of process ownership, handoffs, dependencies, and the information required at each stage of work 🤝🏻

Process mapping is an important part of digital transformation because better systems begin with better process understanding.

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Something Somewhere Consulting conducted a 𝗦𝗜𝗣𝗢𝗖 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 with 𝗣𝗧𝗖 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, bringing process owners together to make the real work visible, validate key handoffs, and create a clearer foundation for the next stage of their Odoo implementation.

Through the 𝗦𝗜𝗣𝗢𝗖 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 — 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 — the session examined the end-to-end crewing process across multiple workstreams, from applicant intake and recruitment to candidate matching, readiness, integration, reporting, and business testing.

The goal was not to redesign everything in one room. It was to validate the normal flow, identify where evidence and decisions matter, clarify ownership and dependencies, and turn what we learned into actionable user stories and implementation steps.
